Jennifer articled with Alliance Lex and joined the firm after her call to the Bar. She has a general practice including civil litigation, family law, legal research, and general advocacy.

Jennifer believes strongly in supporting access to justice issues. For two years, she worked as the Clinic Development Coordinator of The Western Canada Society to Access Justice, where she worked for the late Dugald Christie, who founded the organization. Her job was to open pro bono clinics around British Columbia and Western Canada. In her final year at law school, Jennifer served as Editor-in-Chief of the U.B.C. Law Review, at which time the journal published an issue dedicated to Dugald Christie and the access to justice issues that were so important to him.

Jennifer has an undergraduate degree in History (Hons.) and a minor in International Relations. She studied in Greece and Turkey, worked on archaeological digs in Israel and Jordan, and completed internships at the Chicago Historical Society and the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio. Upon graduation, she spent two years working for the Japanese government’s JET Programme, teaching English in a junior high and two elementary schools.

Jennifer received a variety of scholastic awards throughout her post-secondary education for academic excellence, such as the Deerpath Academic Scholarship and the U.B.C. Law Review Patron’s Award. As an undergraduate student, she was invited to join the foreign language honour society, Phi Sigma Iota.
